Henry Paterson emerged as a star of the Sevens circuit after transitioning from 15s with Eastern Suburbs.

Paterson is the son of former Sydney Roosters forward Trevor Paterson. He was selected for Australia's Tokyo Olympics campaign but had to withdraw through injury.

Paterson scored the winning try in the London Final against New Zealand as the Aussies claimed the 2021-22 World Series.

He continued his strong form with selection in the Commonwealth Games side and World Cup 7s.

Paterson was selected for his first Olympics campaign at Paris in 2024 and notched his 25th tournament to start the 2024/2025 season.
