The deal comes as Stan Sport prepares to broadcast the Olympics, which will the Australians look for just their second medal in program history.

"Sevens rugby is the perfect addition to our Stan Sport lineup," Stan's director of sport Ben Kimber said in a statement.

"Building on the strength of our superb international slate of rugby, and connecting to the Paris Olympics where the Australian men's and women's teams will be right in the mix, sevens is fast, physical and entertaining year round.

"World Rugby are investing in reinventing and growing this version of their game and we're ready to bring it to a wider audience with them."

The Women's side is coming off a second-place finish in the 2022-23 Series, having claimed the Commonwealth Games and Rugby Sevens World Cup in 2022 as part of a 'Triple Crown.'

As for the men, they finished fifth, securing automatic Olympic qualification after claiming the Hong Kong title last November.

The new series format will include eight events, culminating in a grand final in Madrid on May 31-June 2.

Stops will include Dubai, Cape Town, Perth, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Singapore before the final.
