The Australian Men's and Women's Sevens sides have had mixed experiences in Toulouse

The women had already wrapped up the Series before the final event of the Series, looking to cap off their remarkable run with their fifth title, however fell to New Zealand in the finals

Meanwhile, the men currently sit in third position, knocked out in the quarter-finals by host France as they finished in a tie for seventh.

Australia Women's 50 defeated South Africa Women's 0

Australia has cruised to victory over South Africa 50-0, picking up where they left off from Langford.

The Australians struck inside 30 seconds as Faith Nathan raced away to open the scoring. Impact Player of the Series Charlotte Caslick showed her incredible talent in attack and defence, earning the turnover before racing the length of the field to touch down. Nathan's second and a double to Maddison Levi allowed Tim Walsh's side to build a 31-0 lead at the break.

Bienne Terita showcased her strength and speed to build on the imposing lead, before Caslick crossed for a double. The co-captain would seal the emphatic win with a hat-trick as the Aussies brought up the half-century.

Australia Men's 19 defeated by USA Men's 24

Australia produced a gutsy effort but have fallen to the USA 24-19 to open their account.

They got off to the perfect start when Matt Gonzalez darted over after just 28 seconds. From here, the fourth-ranked USA took control of the match after two quick tries. A yellow card to Corey Toole allowed Perry Baker to cross for his second, taking a 19-7 lead into the break.

Needing a spark, Toole delivered straight from the sin bin as he powered through a tackle to score. Whilst Josh Turner sprinted away late in the game, Baker's third sealed the game for the Americans.

Australia Women's 31 defeated Fiji Women's 21

Australia have pulled off a gutsy 31-21 win over a valiant Fiji, cementing top spot in Pool A.

The World Series champions were stunned by an early Fiji try but hit back through Tia Hands and Maddison Levi.

Reapi Ulunisau's second try of the half gave the Fijians a 14-12 lead at the break but Faith Nathan quickly took the game into her hands as she scored after the break to restore the Aussies' lead. Nathan's second and a Charlotte Caslick try as time winded down secured the victory.

Australia Men's 28 defeated Scotland Men's 7

A dominant second half has guided Australia to the 28-7 victory over Scotland, ending day one on a high.

It was a back and forth affair as both sides looked for their first win of Toulouse. Needing a spark, captain Henry Hutchinson stepped up when it mattered, crossing just before the break for a 7-0 lead.

This sparked John Manenti's side into action as Maurice Longbottom and Josh Turner struck after the break. Femi Sofolarin gave the Scottish some consolation late but it was all the Aussies as debutant Max Burey opened his World Series account well after the siren to seal the win.

Australia Women's 31 defeated USA Women 0

Australia showed pure dominance in their last game of the pools powering over USA 31-0 before they head onto the finals.

Charlotte Caslick remains in form as she used her defence to make USA pay for their mistakes turning over the ball to score again.

The Levi sisters were able to make their mark with Madi scoring two tries and Teegan getting on the board herself.

Tim Walsh's side was able to break down the US as a team showing a very technically sound display as they march on to top Pool A.

Australia Men's 29 defeated NZ Men 14

The Australians have stunned the All Blacks Sevens, defeating them 29-14 as they take Group C and eliminate the Kiwis.

Henry Hutchinson got off to the perfect start as he latched onto a loose pass to open the scoring. A try to Ben Dowling minutes later gave them a 10-7 lead at the break.

With the Kiwis down a player, John Manenti's side were ready to pounce as Corey Toole muscled his way over the line, shortly followed by Dietrich Roache.

Hutchinson's second sealed the win and New Zealand's elimination from the quarter-finals, the first time in World Series history

Australia Women 24 defeated USA Women 14

Australia has cruised into the semi-finals as they backed up their group stages performances to beat USA 24-14.

The Americans started strong through Ilona Maher but the World Series champions instantly had answers through Maddi Levi and Sharni Williams to take a 12-7 lead into the break.

Charlotte Caslick's try straight after the break put the result out of question, with Langford Player of the Final Lily Dick sealing the win in style, setting up a final four match-up with Ireland.

Australia Men's 19 defeated by France Men 21

Australia have narrowly fallen to host nation France 21-19 in the quarter-finals.

With New Zealand, Argentina and South Africa knocked out, Australia had a prime opportunity to push for a breakthrough title. However, the hosts were buoyed by a strong supporter base and opened the scoring.

Nick Malouf would answer straight back before Ben Dowling's try at the break gifted a 14-7 lead.

Dietrich Roache's effort in the 10th minute counted a quick French try, giving the Aussies a late lead. In the end, the home support was too much as William Iraguha dived over with just minutes remaining, converting his own try to seal the win.

Australia will now face second-place Argentina in the 5th place semi, with the winner gaining vital ground on South Africa in the World Series standings.

Australia Men's 7 defeated by Argentina Men 22

It was a defensive effort in the 5th place semi-final for our Aussie Men as the team struggled to gain possession of the ball for the majority of the game.

Corey Toole was the highlight scoring the only try for the Australians with a 80m try down the left side of the field.

However Argentina were too good as they built pressure by stringing together a number of phases to slowly wear down an impressive Australian defence to finish the match 7-22.

Australia Women's 40 defeated Ireland Women 7

This final had everything as Australia came out dominant to beat Ireland 40-7 with a flurry of tries in the second half.

There was a total of three yellow cards in the game as both teams's through everything at each other throughout the match with Australia coming through strong in the second half with a total of five tries after halftime.

Madi Levi was yet again the star player of the game finishing two impressive team tries for Australia as the side now moves on to New Zealand in the Cup Final.

Australia Women's 14 defeated by New Zealand Women 21

It was an end to end battle for the Aussie Women in their last game of the World Series against old rivals New Zealand falling 14-21.

The game started as a ding-dong battle with Australia opening the scoring through Demi Hayes which was quickly replied by New Zealand leveling the score.

There was no catching Faith Nathan as she burned around the side of the New Zealand defense to give Australia the lead heading into halftime.

New Zealand came out of the half strong scoring two quick tries to give them a handy lead that was almost foiled by Charlotte Caslick in the final seconds, however New Zealand was able to hold out to give themselves their first tournament win in 2022.
