The Australian Sevens sides have kept relatively settled squads as they return home to Sydney.

Tim Walsh has named the same 13 that finished third in Hamilton, with the recently re-signed Charlotte Caslick and Demi Hayes to co-captain in their return home.

They will open their campaign on January 27 against Brazil (1:50 pm AEDT) before taking on Spain (8:03 pm).

This will be concluded with a crucial clash against Canada on January 28 (11:12 am), with the Aussies looking for their first title on home soil since 2018.

“Our objective for the HSBC Sydney 7s is to perform to the best of our ability and enjoy the opportunity to entertain a home crowd,” said Women's coach Tim Walsh.

“We have elite athletes who desire to be the best they can be – both mentally and physically – who want to represent rugby, sport and women with pride.

“These athletes embody our ethos: ‘Inspire, Innovate and Include’ by playing a game that flows like poetry, is ruthless and entertaining.

“Last week we played well, while adding depth and experience to the squad, and this week we are better for it.”

As for the Men, John Manenti has made one change, welcoming back Darcy Lancaster as he comes in for Trae Williams.

Lancaster featured during their opening round heroics in Hong Kong, where they claimed their first title at the historic venue in 34 years.

They open their account against Great Britain (January 27, 4:34 pm) before clashes with Canada (11:12 am) and Hamilton champions Argentina (5:17 pm) on January 28.

“It’ll be a massive weekend for our boys – we’re all really excited about playing in front of our family, friends, and Sydney’s rugby supporters,” Manenti added.

“There was plenty of belief in our performances in Hamilton and we look forward to building on that this weekend.

“We welcome the return of Darby Lancaster back into the squad, who has recovered from an injury and is now ready to go.

“The boys are keen to repeat the results of the 2018 Sydney 7s tournament – which was the only time in Sevens history that an Australian side has won in Sydney.”

The matches will be broadcasted live and on-demand via BeIN Sports and Kayo Sports, with tickets still available HERE
