Piper Simons is a Manly product, starting her journey in Rugby Sevens for the Mermaids when she was 15 years old.

With seven brothers in her family, Simons was destined to join them on the sporting field as a child.

She has come through a similiar pathway like Faith Nathan, Sariah Paki and Madison Ashby.

Her recent sporting achievements include being named in Australia A and Youth Sevens in 2022-2023.

Piper scored a team-high eight tries at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, including a gold-medal clinching double in the final against Canada.

Simons was originally told she would debut for Australia in Cape Town in 2024 before a back injury to Bridget Clark fast-tracked those plans to a week earlier in Dubai, where Australia won the title.

She went on to be part of seven events in her maiden season, scoring three tries and kicking 13 goals.
