Michael Hooper is arguably the finest Wallaby of his generation and took on a new challenge with the Australia Sevens ahead of the 2023/2024 season. He made his Sevens debut in Hong Kong, 2024. Hooper is a four-time John Eales Medalist and an eight-time winner of the Matthew Burke Cup (2013-17, 2019-20, 23) for the Waratahs’ player of the year. The legendary Hooper announced his retirement in July after missing Olympic selection for Paris.
