The Australian Sevens sides are ready to go all in to finish the SVNS World Championship in Valladolid and Bordeaux.

Both teams have settled into northwest Spain ahead of the European double-header starting May 29-31, which will finish the three-leg Championship after the opening round in Hong Kong.

The Women sit second after their defeat to New Zealand last month, with co-captain Madison Ashby eager to write the wrongs of past campaigns.

“It's a World Championship and we want to win," Ashby said to Rugby.com.au.

"We lost in the last tour, and these two matter most to us, so we put all our time and energy into focusing on the little things that we need to work on to hopefully come away with a win at the next one.”

Former co-captain Demi Hayes returns for the double-header, looking for their first title of the year.

They'll play South Africa, Fiji and USA in the group stages, eager to back their previous Spanish success after claiming the inaugural SVNS title in Madrid.

For the Men, their motivation comes following a disappointing sixth place finish in Hong Kong.

It came after they clean-swept the group stages, only to drop their quarter-final to Spain.

“The whole focus has been how do we dominate on day one and then give ourselves the best chance possible to push through and win those finals games," young gun Archie Saunders said.

“I think the whole squad is really, really focused on winning, and not just winning, but performing really well as well. There's not much doubt that we can go and go over and perform and come away with some wins.

“...I think it's carrying over that energy into day two, day three, and putting ourselves under the pressure and having that expectation to perform better than we did on day one. That's our focus for Spain and France. Liam Barry's side will meet Kenya, Great Britain and South Africa in the pool stages.
