Australian coaches Tim Walsh and Liam Barry have named their squads for the fourth round of the HSBC SVNS World Series in Perth this weekend.
The Aussie Women are looking to secure back-to-back titles on home soil while the Men’s side will look to go one better on last year’s efforts with a gold medal in 2026.

Walsh has made three changes to the women’s side that claimed silver in Singapore with Mackenzie Davis, Amahli Hala and Kahli Henwood coming into the 13.
Their inclusions mean Ruby Nicholas and Sidney Taylor, who made a successful return from a knee injury, shuffling out of the squad.
Maya Stewart will also join the Wallaroos at their first training camp of the year in Canberra on Tuesday after a stirring debut performance in the Sevens arena.
The Australians will want improvement at HBF Park after dropping the Singapore final in heavy fashion last weekend.
Australia Women’s coach Tim Walsh said: “It was far from our finest 14 minutes in the final in Singapore.
“Every match, win, lose or draw is an opportunity to build experience and learn and that is how we approach every game.
“Using the recent Australian Open tennis as a comparative example, New Zealand have us two sets to one down heading into Perth.
“Kahli Henwood and Mackenzie Davis return to the team having now recovered from injury.
“Amahli Hala also returns as we continue to expose players to the World Series before settling on a final 13 for Hong Kong and Round 1 of the Championships.”
The Aussie Men have recalled Hadley Tonga for the home event, with debutant Cooper Watters making way after a solid effort in his first outing in gold.
Western Sydney product Tonga, 20, made his Aussie Sevens debut in the corresponding tournament in Perth last year.
The likes of Harry Wilson, Will Cartwright and Ethan McFarland and will all play a Sevens tournament at home for the first time while Western Force flyer Wallace Charlie is also on show in the west.
Australia Men’s Sevens coach Liam Barry said: “We started well against Argentina but did not play to our standards in the next two games in Singapore but pleasingly produced a better effort on day two in the way the team prepared and played.
“The team is hugely proud of ‘Hutch’ [Henry Hutchison] on becoming the most capped Australian Sevens player last weekend.
“It’s an amazing achievement and congratulations to Cooper Watters on his debut game for the Sevens team.
“The team is very excited at the thought of coming home to play in Perth and we look forward to seeing all the people of Western Australia at HBF Park on Saturday.”
Australia’s Men will meet New Zealand, France and Great Britain in the pool stages while the Aussie Women clash with Great Britain, France and Canada.
