Matt Gonzalez started playing rugby at age seven before a decade-long 15s career playing for Eastwood Rugby Club. Unfortunately he was often hampered by injuries but persevered. He made his Sevens debut in Singapore, 2022, and had an instant impact as the side made a meteoric push towards the World Series title. Born in Baulkham Hills, Gonzalez is a fitness trainer away from the game.
