Maddison was named Rookie of the Year, included in the HSBC Dream Team for the 2021-22 Series after scoring 24 tries.

Teagan played three events on the tour, including helping them to gold in Sevilla, as she became a regular within the squad.

The pair combined to help Australia to their first Commonwealth Games gold medals, backing it up months later at the Rugby Sevens World Cup in Cape Town.

Both Maddison and Teagan were drafted by the Gold Coast Suns in the AFLW, opting to stay exclusively with the Sevens program with the Olympics on their mind.

“I’m really excited – we’ve grown so much together over the past season and there’s so much more to come,” Maddison said.

“The experiences that the Sevens provide for us are second to none – to be able to set our sights on the Olympics is unbelievably special.

“To be able to travel around the world and compete in incredible locations for six months of the year is so surreal – I just can’t believe I get to do this as my job.

“We’ve created a strong bond with the team and I’m so privileged to be able to train with my best friends every day.”

“I’m so thrilled that we’ve signed on for another two years with this team,” Teagan added. “We’re a young team, we’re still growing together and we’ve still got so much to show the world

“It’s amazing to be able to do this sport with my sister and have a part of home travelling the world with me.”

Sevens coach Tim Walsh was thrilled to re-sign the duo as they look to back up last year's Triple Crown.

“As a program, we aim for our players to be innovative in the way they play, and to inspire their teammates,” Walsh believes.

“Both Maddi and Teagan do exactly that – they are naturally gifted athletes who are constantly seeking to improve their performance and are always looking to win.

“The Levi sisters excelled this season and were integral to the team’s pursuit of the Triple Crown. Maddi thrilled spectators with world-class finishing, soaring aerial skills and outstanding defence. Teagan’s tenacious attitude and gritty work ethic was crucial to match-winning moments throughout the season.

“The dynamic duo entertain both on and off the field, and form a lethal combination. They have so much untapped potential – I’m excited to see how they develop over the next two years.”
